Planning
Chart Navigator Pro makes it easier to plan your next cruising adventure with
features like chart quilting, multi-level undo, integrated gazetteer,
geo-referenced Coast Pilot, and route obstacle detection. Connect to the
Internet, and you can download the latest weather forecasts and charts.
Creating Routes is as easy as clicking a mouse. Click, and you've created a
waypoint. Click again, and you're creating a route. It's that easy. Routes and
other Navigation Documents can be shared between home, boat and friends
computers.
With chart quilting, there's no need to figure out which charts to open. Just
zoom in and out, and the right charts will appear seamlessly quilted together.

your route plan since you can always undo like you can in other Windows
programs. |

The gazetteer includes millions of places that you can quickly look up using the
"search box" in the toolbar.
Tides and Currents display right on charts or in their own separate window.
The US Coast Pilot is tightly integrated. Just click on a chart location to find
out what the Coast Pilot has to say!
Obstacles along your route are pointed out to you as you are planning to help
you plan a safe trip.

Navigation
Navigation is made easier with Chart Navigator Pro's full-screen Cruise Mode
which replaces the standard Windows menus and toolbars with big fat buttons that
are much easier to use while underway.
See your real-time GPS Position right on the screen. The boat position can be
viewed in Look Ahead, Follow Boat, or the unique Follow Leg-Line mode which
automatically scrolls and zooms to fill the screen with the current leg.
Orient the chart by North Up, Heading Up, or Course Up. Voice Alerts are used to
warn you of waypoint arrivals, depths out of range, and even charted obstacles
along your path!

Split the screen into two or three charts with a
single key or button press. There's no need to resize or rearrange windows;
Chart Navigator Pro takes care of it for you!
The Day, Twilight, and Night Modes are designed to help you see in all light
conditions.
Chart Navigator Pro interfaces with standard GPS receivers as well as advanced
instruments including: autopilots; sensors for depth, speed, temperature, and
wind; RADAR (ARPA/MARPA); and AIS receivers. Virtual Instrument panels show you
information from your instruments in large, easy-to-see displays.

Charts - The entire U.S. Coastline is included
Chart Navigator Pro includes the entire U.S.
coastline on 13 DVDs. If you're new to PC navigation, this should be easy to
grasp. If you're an old PC salt, welcome to simplicity. There are no U.S.
"regions" or "unlocks" to worry about - every chart for the U.S. coastline is
included.
The cartography includes the Atlantic Coast, Gulf Coast, major Inland Waterways
and the U.S. waters in the Great Lakes as well as the Pacific Coast, Alaska and
Hawaii. These aren't overview charts - they include the most detailed ones
Maptech has to offer.

Vector Charts
Chart Navigator Pro includes all available S-57 ENC vector charts from NOAA and
the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. These charts are "smart." You can turn
information on and off and view chart characteristics with a click of the mouse.

Raster Charts
Raster charts have the same visual detail as NOAA paper charts. Chart Navigator
Pro lets you quickly switch between Vector and Raster or even quilt them
together. Chart Navigator Pro includes all NOAA Raster Charts in the
Maptech/BSB3 file format. |

Photo Charts
Photo charts enhance your situational awareness when you view them side-by-side
with charts. They look incredible quilted together into a large photo image.

Topographic Maps
Topographic Maps show more land features than charts and are handy for trips

often used as another reference for navigation, and they are especially popular
with fishermen. Don't be fooled by other "3D" charts. Maptech Contour 3D has
more data and detail than the others including soundings gathered from hundreds
of government, university and private sources. Chart Navigator includes all
available Contour 3D Charts for the U.S. coastline. |
